Welcome to the PTA Survival Guide!

One quick note, this blog has noting to do with Parent Teacher Associations. It is about the profession of Physical Therapist Assistant – still abbreviated as PTA, but a heck of a lot more fun than parent teacher association meetings. I’m not going to be hitting you up for money or to volunteer for a field trip.

I have a goofy sense of humor, so things around here will be pretty lighthearted, even when we cover some of the more serious things in the profession. It is worth noting that I will be writing from my own experience and from the experiences shared with me by colleagues. This space isn’t intended to cover every topic, situation, and nuance within the PTA profession or all that happens under the gigantic umbrella that is “physical therapy.”

Have an idea, story, or something else that you’d like to share? Feel free to use the contact form below. I’m definitely open to having guest posts. But please understand that this isn’t a place to be angry, vent your frustrations about the universe, debate academic theory, or troll other people or professions. Don’t even try to bring that here.

If social media is your thing, look me up on Twitter. I’m pretty weird though, so consider this your official warning!

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you learned something or got a smile from this site. Have a great day!
